A lot can happen in the space of seven days. Last week news filtered through that Amanda Staveley, the Rueben brothers and PIF decided to walk away from their bid to purchase Newcastle United. Since then Newcastle supporters have united as one, something that has failed to happen in recent years. Boycotts and protests have seen somewhat of a divide in the fan base during the Mike Ashley era. Newcastle United have been in need of a change of ownership for over a decade, too many false dawns and false promises have come and gone over that period, the latest news has been a case "The straw that broke the camel's back". Newcastle supporters have had their hopes dashed far too many times, this time supporters are finally coming together to force change. There does not appear to be different fan groups with differing opinions and ideas, the majority have back the Newcastle United Supporters Trust (NUST) to lead the way. As a result, momentum is building - A petition created by a Newcastle supporter titled "An independent investigation into the EPL takeover process" has had over 87,000 signatures at the time of writing.

Not only have supporters been eagerly signing a petition in order to force change, there have been thousands of letters sent to local MP's, the majority of whom, have shown their support in Newcastle supporters' demand for answers from the tight-lipped Premier League. It is refreshing to see Newcastle supporters all pulling in the same direction, it is the only way to make a difference. The work of NUST has been incredible, not just over the past week but for a long time now. Newcastle supporters can join NUST for as little as £1.
Richard Masters and co have handled the situation incredibly poorly, allowing geo-politics and rival clubs to influence the takeover decision. This is the outcome the Premier League wanted, they shivered with fear when thinking about making a decision. This has left Newcastle United in limbo, behind every other club in the Premier League in terms of planning for the upcoming season.
Steve Bruce, his staff and players have been itching for a takeover decision to be made, in fact Bruce repeatedly brought it up in his press conferences. It has had a massive impact on the club and Premier League need to provide the answers that the supporters and club deserve. The longer the Premier League continue to sit in silence, the more the pressure ramps up.

Newcastle looks and feels like a club in a vortex of nothingness, going nowhere and left to rot and to fester, with no care in the world by the very institute that should protect one of their own clubs. Newcastle supporters deserve better, they do not deserve to be ignored. Supporters are making their voices heard and the noice level is increasing with every passing second.
